Instructor’s Note
Many of the students come to class because they are in the process of looking
for work, so a current resume is an essential tool for them. You may want to
ask learners to prepare by bringing a previous resume, if they have one
available. Or they may want to write out notes about their work, volunteer, and
educational experience.
Activity
The two options we generally use for helping participants with their resumes
are:
using one of the Microsoft Word templates for resumes or
making a simple table with two columns and several rows, then plugging biographical information into it
Follow-up Activity
Make sure that learners have saved their resume onto their disk so they will
have it for the future.
