Connecting to the internet: Click on the Icon for Internet Explorer. You may have to use a different program, like Netscape if you connect from a different computer.
Finding a web page: At the top of the web page, there will be an address bar for the web site you are currently viewing. All web addresses begin with either http:// or https://. Most addresses also contain www in the address immediately after the // marks, but some do not. Saving a photo from the internet: If you see a photo you like, right click on the photo. From the menu, pick “save picture as” then choose a name for the photo and save it on your floppy disk. Pictures use up a lot of memory on a disk or your computer’s hard drive. Only choose one or two pictures to save on your disk. Bring them back to class, because we will use them in a later class when we write a newspaper article.
